One of my favourite bookstores is Shakespeare & Company in Paris. Now they opend a so named bookstore in the Sterngasse 2, 1st district, as a homage.
It is almost identical, from a portrait of William Shakespeare to the densely packed stacks of books in every inch of space. Located in one of the oldest section of Vienna, next to the Jewish Synagogue, you will get lost in a world of books and history.
Already on my first visit I fell in love and shopped over my budget, again. But they have such a great selection of English-language books and magazines from around the world. So I warn you, it is addictive!!
