Mostley artists, curators and students from the art academies meet at futuregarden in the Schadekgasse 6 in the 6th district of Vienna. Owned by and adjacent to the Galerie Amer Abbas, the Futuregarden’s guests spill over during events to the gallery next door and vice versa.

The space is bare and minimally furnished but with a lot of photos, painting and media art. And on weekends famous local dj's will bring you in dancing mood with a mix out of old school techno, disco, hip hop and rock

Bilderbuch

Bilderbuch (Picture book) is an Austrian alternative rock band from Kremsmünster in upper Austria, which exist since the summer of 2005 and has finally made the breakthrough.

2007, Zebo Adam and Manfred Franz Meier (components of the band "Russkaja") became their producers. The first recordings for the debut album took place in April 2008 in Vienna and was released in 2009.

With the end of the recordings started cooperation with the Austrian indie label "Schönwetter Schallplatten, " appears on the debut album "Nelken & Schillinge" on 28/08/2009.
The first release was called "Calypso" and a video was shot in Berlin. The single was played by the Austrian radio station FM4 up and down.

2010 was the year of the great tour and they can now look back on over 100 gigs, like in the Magnet Club in Berlin and the Arena in Vienna, with bands like Cold War Kids, Madsen, Asian Dub Foundation and the fotos.

Her second videoclip, "Kopf ab" is out now, and they finally have established themselves in the Germanspeaking indie scene.

Flo Vintage

It is time to present you the most famous vintage store in Vienna:
Flo Vintage in Schleifmühlgasse 15a in the 4th district.
It's not only the most famous shop, unfortunately also the most expensive. But if you look for something really unusual with high quality and a famous label - then you are in the right place: Even the Louis Vuitton guide book claims that "This shop is heaven for vintage fans ..." What more could you ask for? And famous film stars and trend scouts from the fashion world including Stella McCartney, Marc Jacob's and even Helmut Lang himself have been spotted rummaging through Flo's racks in search of inspiration.
The proprietor, Ingrid Raab, has been selling vintage for over 30 years now and has more than just an eye for style.

Deewan Restaurant

End of the month and slowly the money vanishes because of your lifestyle? But once again you wanna go to a restaurant and eat as much as you can, but only pay what you want? Then let's go to the Restaurant Deewan in the Lichtensteinstrasse 10 in the 9th district of Vienna.  
At this Pakistani eatery, you can eat all you want and pay what you want. The buffet is palatable enough: lamb, chicken, curry, lots of vegetarian dishes and desserts. 
But be warned: Deewan is close to the university. Skip the food-frenzied students by avoiding lunch hours, thoughgiven the paucity hungry crowd's for good food on the cheap, it's hard to score a table here even duringoff-hours.

Leather Leggings

Leather leggings were the must-have of the last season and are reportedly out. But in the current sale of the fashion designer and fashion chains are so many leather leggings at low prices that I think you should extend the old trend quiet a bit.  
Leggings of leak or leather is the counterpart to the tubejeans. Stars like Lindsay Lohan, Mary-Kate Olsen and Victoria Beckham wear them still, almost daily. Even in the model scene they seem irreplaceable, Kate Moss expressed in the recent InStyle, that she always carries a leather legging in her purse. The trend was first shown on the catwalk: Alexander Wang, Balenciaga, Jean Paul Gaultier and Karl Lagerfeld made it the key pieces in 2010. 
Let us continue the trend!! But be careful: Whatever the reason, but you will be stared at by everyone!? And not to be confused with a hooker, you should be careful that the outfit don't looks too cheap. Combines this precious piece with chic and preferably with a color.  
Men in leather leggings? This is a difficult question. Actually there are only two excuses to wear it as a man: you're either gay as hell, like me, or a successful rock star. But as I always say about fashion experiments: go for it ,but you need to bring the right legs boys and girls!  
At American Apparel, at stylebop.com, H & M and Topshop they exists right now at cheap prices but also almost every high street store has them now on sale and if you want them more expensive, may buy at Kova & T, Balenciaga or directly from Lindsay Lohan, she launches Last summer her own leggings line "6126" with a variety of models.

Cirque Rouge

Yesterday I finally made it to one of the famous Cirque Rouge parties, and I can only recommend a visit.  
It's always a mixture of a secret 20s underground-bar and a naughty 50s Cabaret. The highlights are the fabulous burlesque numbers. The audience also put you into a bygone era. All are geared to different periods and the world of Burlesque, Pin-Ups, Cabaret, Dandy & Diva, bohemians, Glamour, Mafiosi, etc.
So the ladies sit down with accessories such as cigarette holders, feather boas, gloves, pearl necklace, stockings & tip into the limelight - the men with hats, suspenders, cuffs, pointed beards and side parting.
Even the location, the "rote bar" in the Volkstheater, underscores the retro athomsphere.

No Pants Subway Ride Day

Doing a subway ride across town without trousers or skirt on - who would do such a thing? At yesterday's action hundreds of people ,involved all over the world including Vienna, followed the topic!
In New York, the "No Pants Subway Ride Day" on January 9 is already a tradition, last year went over 3,000 people dressed only in underwear in public transport.
Yesterday it happened again - also in Vienna and it's not illegal at least you are wearing underwear and have a valid ticket.
If this is too risky for you go for the internatinal jogging pants day, which will be on January 21.
